Boat Launches on Green Lake
Heading for the lake?
Seven public launch sites make access easy!
-
Deacon Mills Park
Downtown on South Street
This boat launch is the closest launch to downtown Green Lake. A wide ramp with direct access to the bay and Deacon Mills Park makes this a popular ramp. -
Canal St. Launch
Downtown on Canal Street
Plenty of parking and a somewhat "out of the way" location highlight this launch. The water is shallow so may not be suitable for larger boats. You also need to go under a bridge to access the main lake. Pontoon boats will need to lower their canopies. -
Hattie Sherwood Park
Near downtown at the campground
A small boat launch used primarily by the campground. You will need to go under the bridge to access the main lake. A great place to launch for bass fishing in the mill pond area. -
Duering's Landing
On Illinois Avenue
This launch has no pier but offers direct access to the Inlet area of the lake. -
Sunset Park
East side of Green Lake on Hwy. A
Plenty of parking, sandy bottom and multiple ramps makes this the most popular boat launch on the east end of the lake. Picnic tables, grassy areas and a swimming make this a great spot for all-day visitors to the lake. The lake at this end has a sandy bottom and is shallow making for a great place to start water skiers of all ages. -
Horner's Landing
Spring Grove Road off Hwy. A
A popular access point from south east end. Plenty of parking and a well maintained ramp and pier make this a great landing. Fishermen (and women) enjoy the quick access to the lake from Horner's Landing. -
Dodge Memorial Park
West end of lake on Cty. Trk. K
Dubbed "County Park" by many, this is a popular picnic area, swimming beach and boat launch area. Featuring multiple ramps and piers and plenty of parking, this area is a popular access point to the west end of the lake.
