Do you have a Mac? Do you have $100? Need something to request for your birthday maybe? In any case, here are three of the most useful apps I have found in my years as a Mac user. Besides the apps made by Apple and Adobe, these are at the top of the heap, folks, and they're a lot cheaper. Here we go.
| Transmit Panic, $30 This is the king of FTP programs. It works with any editor for any type of file. It does synchronization. It integrates with Automator and iCal to schedule transfers. Best yet, it thinks and operates like OS X. If you have used a Mac for a while, it will behave exactly how you expect it to. » Transmit Site |

| Spanning Sync Spanning Sync, Inc., $40 for 2 years We use Spanning Sync to share our work schedules with one another, within the company. Because we deal with Mac and PC users, .Mac isn't going to cut it. Spanning Sync syncs your iCal and Address Book items with Google Calendar, so PC users and Mac users alike can all share the same data. Brilliant! » Spanning Sync Site | |

| iShowU HD shinywhitebox, $30 iShowU HD is a great sceencasting app for OS X. Simply start the recording, navigate around your Mac as usual, and dictate while you do so. Most Macs' built-in microphones will make this process a snap. Great for making how-to videos and sales presentations. » iShowU HD Site | |
